'Check if this is the bulb you wanted '– I told Anil handing him the small
bulb which I had bought for Brake light of scooter. Looking at it Anil said – 'No its not the bulb I had told did you not show him the slip I had written the details?' Getting irritated I said calmly – ‘you
know for such things you should go yourself and buy, as it is I don’t have much
idea about spare parts and today I understood, even the guy at the shop does
not have better idea than me !’:) Instantly Anil replied -‘I asked you to get
it so that you get some idea of spare parts’
Valid point , but still I always feel like a fool when I go to buy
something which I don’t have much idea of ...
Now let me give a brief description of
the experience at the shop where I went to get the spare Bulb. I took
the paper in which Anil had neatly written 12 V – 5/21 W and asked the
shopkeeper if he has it ? His first question was not even related to ‘Spare
part’ , I got confused and I told , it’s a small bulb , he asked another
irrelevant question, I said what I am
looking for is small bulb for Activa scoter , he asked which bulb, luckily I
remembered Anil mentioning about Brake light not working (He rides Activa) , I
said its for break light. The shopkeeper then took few boxes , checked with the
note I had given him and finally took one from second box. Giving shopkeeper the money
I told him that if its not the one I will come back after some time and
exchange it , Thank God I had said this ! :)
I always thought I am (and many women like me are) are dumb when it
comes to spare parts , but the guess what ,the good news is that even Men are
equally dumb , so I don’t have to feel ashamed of my lack of knowledge in
certain areas , most people don’t know stuff well , Ab meri Dimaag ki Batti
Jali ;)
