Roastown Trichur - Meet, Eat , Enjoy The True Taste !

Happened to visit my friend after a long time, though in regular touch through calls and chats, meeting face to face has become a yearly (if lucky, otherwise once in 2-3 years) affair. So after spending a day at home, we decided to have lunch outside. We had to go to Trichur to meet people, so the 2 young adults in our group of 5, started checking out Insta, and the older adults left the decision on these 2 youngsters. After a couple of hours, when the youngsters were still unsure about deciding, I messaged one of my schoolmates and a chef  Anoop Kadavil, based out of Trichur to recommend some places to us.

Of the many options he had given for Chinese, Biryani and Continental, one of the options he gave for continental cuisine was Roastown, and the youngsters decided on this place. Located on Aristo Road, Mission Quarters Road, opposite Aquatic Club - the place is on the main road, easily accessible, with decent parking space. While inside is a cosy place, good occupancy, prompt service and most importantly, delicious food.

We ordered quite a few items covering starters, main course, juice and dessert; each item was cooked to perfection and absolutely delightful. Listing down some of the items we had. My personal favourite  Prawn Tapas, Moroccan Beef Ribs! Both the dishes I was having for the first time, and I have no idea exactly how Spanish and Moroccan they tasted, but I am pretty sure Prawn Tapas was pretty close to the actual Spanish dish. Overall experience was really good, no loud music and really good service.

Though initially I did feel the rates were towards the higher side( read expensive), but for the quality and options of food, service and experience, I should not be complaining about that :) As per my experience, 1000-1500 Rs per head (if you plan to have something from all sections, that is) is a good break from regular eateries !

The list below is what we had for lunch. We were so immersed in enjoying our lunch that none of us took pictures of the dishes :) (You can check the link to the Menu, shared below, for the pictures, which looked pretty much the same as what we had)
