Everyday i try to go for evening walk with my kids - its usually 2km or 4 km walk - (if not everyday , 3 - 4 days a week) , ezekiel in sling and esther loves walking (that way nobody asks her to study and she gets to eat shawarma on her way back from walk) - somedays on my way back from walk , i get company of a small boy Unnikuttan 5 yr old his mom and aunt - his mom works as a house help and his... aunt works in a petrol pump where we usually go with my scooter, and we like the way she puts the fuel, slow , steady ,patiently and that is one reason we know the lady - unnikuttan like most of the boys of his age is very spiritful and naughty , his white uniform almost everyday is brown in color - and he gets really excited to see Ezekiel (for him Appukuttan) tied to me - Unni tries to hold Appu's hand and leg (initially i am worried about his dirty hands but then he shows so much of care for the little one that his dirty hands does not worry me) and asks me why Appu does not wear shoes ! - we do small talk and i realise everyday Unnikuttan along with his mother walks 10 kms ! he likes Appam and Egg curry , and next year he will have colored uniform so that it does not become as dirty as his white shirt ...
I give him a candy and see him smiling and we say good bye ... And i think of Another day in paradise (Phil Colins) ... and Nanhe Munne Bacche Teri Muthi Mein Kya Hai
Nanhe Munne Bacche Teri Muthi Mein Kya Hai
muthi Mein Hai Taqdeer Humari
humne Kismat Ko Bas Mein Kiya Hai
bholi Bhaali Matwaali Aankho Mein Kya Hai
aankhon Mein Jhoome Umeedon Ki Diwali
aane Wali Duniya Ka Sapna Saja Hai
bheek Mein Jo Moti Mile To Bhi Hum Na Lenge
zindagi Ke Aansuyon Ki Mala Pehne Ge
mushkilon Se Ladhte Phirte Jeene Mein Maza Hai
aane Wali Duniya Mein Sab Ke Sar Pe Taj Ho
na Bhookon Ki Bheedh Hogi
na Dukhon Ka Raj Ho
badle Ga Zamana Yeh Sitaaron Pe Likha Hai
