If I should Die- Matthew Frank

Just finished reading ‘If I should Die’ by Matthew Frank. I had picked this book from the shelf not knowing who the Author is , read the synopsis and thought of giving it a shot. I didn’t pick this book for next 1 week and then one night thinking that ist just couple of days more to return I decided to at least read few chapters. The first few chapter were so captivating that I just could not keep the book down Loved the book and Matthew’s style of writing. Crime story– with dash of Iraq & Afghanistan war scenes flashback, but not at all about war theory/strategy and not at all sloppy, is very engaging fast paced and well handled plot in a city like London. It also touches Issues of homelessness, veterans rehabilitation, misled teenagers. Absolutely delightful read.
I had to find out about the Author –Matthew Frank. Was pleasantly surprised to know that this is his first novel ! The protagonist of ‘If I should Die’ is Trainee Investigator Joe Stark perfect image of loyalty, duty and honour. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
